ok so i have pcos (recentaly diagnoised) 11 months ago when i had my son they found some fibriods in my uteus, but those didnt really caus eme pain, but now for the past 2 days my right ovary has been hurting, its not constant. it will just hurt out of nowhere for a few minuets than go away, just to come back and do the smae thing. these are not ovulation pains, i am not ovulating, and havent had a period since july06. i do have an u/s on monday, but just wondering what you think..maybe a cyst, do those hurt? thats the only thing i can think of..oh yea its like a sharp stabbing pain then goes to dull for a max of 10 minuets each time it happens and it happened about 5 times todayOvaries hurt?
cysts hurt immensely, and that is probably what it is.
Take some Ibuprofen on a full stomach, leave the area alone and don't press on it. If the pain gets worse or you are doubled over it is a medical emergency.
Yes a cyst can hurt, It could be ovulation and it feels different because you have a cyst or something else is going on. I would check with the doc. They might want to do an ultrasound to check.
The ovarian cyst that I had burst made me double over in pain. I don't think it matters at what age either. I had them in my mid 20's and late 30's. Recently it hurt so bad I ended up going to the ER but when I got there and they got the pain med started, they must have burst and nothing showed on the ultrasound. But I have a history of them.
That period thing is weird to me. That's really unhealthy. You should probably get that checked out. It's probably contributing to your pains.
