I just started taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, I'm 5'1 and 100lbs..I've always been trying to gain weight and been very naturally skinny.

I was on that for 4 years, and then I had a stroke. I wasnt even a smoker, the doctor immediatly took me off the pill> I was only 23. I suggest that you dont take any form of birth control pill. if you want to gain weight, drink some carnation instant start right before you go to bed. works like a charm.
The only real issue regarding birth control and weight is for those women who are overweight. Birth control may not be as effective in these women. As you are taking a low-hormone birth control, there is really no reason for you to be concerned. There are, of course, side effects that go along with birth control use, but they aren't any more prevalent or worse in smaller women. Good luck!
